We take care of Technicians

We built Wimmer’s Automotive around one simple belief: great technicians deserve a great place to work.

Everything we do is designed to help our team produce quality work, earn an excellent living, and go home proud of what they accomplished.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

Our shop operates by appointment only. That means:

  • No walk-ins disrupting your day
  • Three scheduled vehicles per technician each day
  • High-quality repair opportunities—not just oil changes
  • A dedicated Remote Service Advisor who handles estimates, customer communication, parts coordination, and workflow so you can stay focused on diagnostics and repairs
  • Digital Vehicle Inspections with photos that build customer trust and increase approved work
  • Modern shop equipment and an organized workflow that eliminates unnecessary stress

Designed for Success

We don’t believe technicians should have to fight the system to be successful.

That’s why we provide:

  • Accurate labor times and fair compensation
  • Full paid labor on warranty repairs—you don’t take the financial hit for standing behind our work
  • Paid digital inspections and diagnostic procedures
  • Ongoing technical, customer service, and leadership training
  • Clear production goals and advancement opportunities
  • Modern technology that helps you be more productive—not slows you down

Compensation That Rewards Excellence

Our technicians are rewarded for the value they create.

Our performance-based compensation plan includes:

  • Competitive hourly and flat-rate opportunities
  • Individual production incentives
  • Team performance bonuses
  • Gross Profit bonuses that reward everyone for working together

Experienced technicians typically earn $70,000-$135,000+ annually, depending on certifications, production, and performance. As your skills grow, so does your earning potential.

Automotive Technician Apprentice

Love cars? So do we.

If you’re looking for more than just a job and want to build a long-term career in the automotive industry, you’ve come to the right place. Our Technician Apprentice Program is designed to give motivated individuals a clear path from beginner to professional technician through hands-on experience, structured training, and mentorship.

Whether you’re just graduating high school, changing careers, or have been working on cars in your own garage, we’ll help you build the skills and confidence to succeed.

A Clear Path to Success

At Wimmer’s Automotive, we don’t believe in throwing apprentices into the deep end. From your first day, you’ll follow a structured development plan that combines real-world shop experience with industry-leading training.

Our apprentices receive:

  • A structured 24-month NAPA AutoCare Apprenticeship Program
  • Ongoing professional development training beginning on Day One
  • One-on-one mentoring from experienced ASE Certified Technicians
  • Hands-on experience using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology
  • Paid training and paid learning opportunities
  • Company-paid ASE Certification testing and advancement
  • A clearly defined career path with opportunities to grow into General Service Technician, ASE Certified Technician, Master Technician, Shop Foreman, and leadership roles

We invest in your future because your success strengthens our entire team.

More Than Just a Job

We’re committed to developing exceptional automotive professionals—not just employees. You’ll learn technical skills, communication, professionalism, teamwork, diagnostics, and problem-solving in a shop built around continuous improvement and lifelong learning.

Whether your dream is becoming a Master Technician, mentoring future apprentices, managing a shop, or even owning a business one day, we’ll help you build the foundation to get there.

Think You’re Too Young?

Maybe you’re still in high school. Maybe you’re exploring career options. That’s okay.

If you’re passionate about cars and willing to work hard, we’d love to meet you. Reach out today and start building a relationship with our team. The best careers often begin long before your first day on the job.

Do I Need Automotive Experience?

Not necessarily.

Some automotive knowledge is helpful, but it isn’t required. We’ve found that the best Service Advisors are exceptional communicators who genuinely enjoy helping people. If you’re passionate about customer service, building relationships, and learning new skills, we’ll teach you everything you need to know about the automotive side of the business.

What Does a Service Advisor Do?

Your mission is to educate—not sell.

At Wimmer’s Automotive, we believe informed customers make the best decisions. You’ll review our Digital Vehicle Inspections with customers, explain maintenance recommendations in simple terms, answer questions honestly, and help prioritize repairs based on safety, reliability, and each customer’s goals.

You’ll work closely with our technicians and Remote Service Advisor to ensure every customer receives accurate information, transparent communication, and an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Compensation

Our Service Advisors participate in a team-based performance compensation plan because we believe success is a team effort.

As your skills, production, and leadership grow, so does your earning potential. Service Advisors typically earn between $60,000 and $140,000 annually, depending on experience, performance, and team results.

Parts Specialist

Behind every successful repair is an exceptional Parts Specialist.

At Wimmer’s Automotive, our Parts Specialist keeps the entire shop moving. You’ll work closely with our technicians and service team to ensure every repair has the right parts, at the right time, with the right information. Your attention to detail and organizational skills directly impact the success of every repair and every customer experience.

If you’re someone who enjoys solving problems, staying organized, and creating efficient systems, this could be the perfect career for you.

What You’ll Do

As our Parts Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Researching and sourcing quality automotive parts
  • Ordering, receiving, inspecting, and organizing inventory
  • Coordinating parts deliveries with technicians and service advisors
  • Processing warranty and core returns
  • Returning unused parts promptly and accurately
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy and organization
  • Assisting with estimates and parts pricing
  • Working with vendors to ensure the best quality, availability, and value
  • Continuously improving our inventory and parts management systems

Your work keeps repairs on schedule and helps our technicians stay productive.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of automotive experience—we can teach the technical side.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organized
  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software
  • Dependable and self-motivated
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about continuous learning and improvement
  • A positive team player who enjoys helping others succeed

If you enjoy creating order from chaos and take pride in keeping things running efficiently, you’ll thrive in this role.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation
  • Paid healthcare
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Company-sponsored professional training
  • Weekly team lunch and meeting
  • Employee pricing on parts
  • Team outings and optional motorsports events
  • A structured, process-driven workplace with clear expectations
  • Opportunities for advancement as our company continues to grow

Grow With Us

At Wimmer’s Automotive, we don’t hire people to simply fill positions—we hire people who want to build careers.

We invest heavily in our team through training, mentorship, and continuous improvement. If you’re willing to learn, take ownership of your role, and help make our shop even better than it was yesterday, you’ll have every opportunity to grow with us.

If that sounds like the kind of team you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you.

Automotive Detailer

At Wimmer’s Automotive, our Detailers create the final impression that customers remember long after they leave.

Every vehicle that comes through our shop receives a complimentary exterior wash before it’s returned to the customer. It’s our way of saying thank you and demonstrating the pride we take in every repair. When a customer sees their freshly serviced vehicle looking its absolute best, it reinforces the quality, professionalism, and care that define the Wimmer’s Automotive experience.

If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in attention to detail, and love seeing the transformation of a clean vehicle, this could be the perfect position for you.

What Makes Our Wash Different?

We don’t believe in “good enough.”

Every complimentary wash is performed using our Reverse Osmosis and Deionized (RO/DI) water filtration system, allowing vehicles to dry spot-free without towel drying. This produces a cleaner finish, helps protect delicate paint surfaces, and provides a professional result our customers notice and appreciate.

What You’ll Do

As a Detailer, you’ll be responsible for:

Taking pride in delivering a vehicle that exceeds customer expectations

Providing a complimentary exterior wash for every serviced vehicle

Operating our professional RO/DI spot-free wash system

Cleaning wheels, windows, and exterior surfaces

Performing light interior touch-ups as needed

Inspecting each vehicle before delivery to ensure it’s presentation-ready

Maintaining a clean, organized wash area and equipment

What We Offer

  • Paid training
  • Paid healthcare
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Weekly team lunch and company meeting
  • Employee discounts
  • Opportunities for advancement within the company
  • A positive, team-focused culture built around continuous improvement

At Wimmer’s Automotive, every team member plays an important role in creating an exceptional customer experience. As our Detailer, you’ll be the last person to touch every vehicle before it’s returned to its owner—and the first reason they’ll smile when they see it.

General Manager

At Wimmer’s Automotive, our General Managers don’t just manage a shop—they build winning teams.

As the leader of the operation, you’ll be responsible for developing people, improving systems, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and ensuring the shop operates with excellence every single day. You’ll lead by example, coach your team, uphold our culture, and drive continuous improvement in every area of the business.

We’re looking for a servant leader who is passionate about people, embraces accountability, and believes that great systems create great results. You’ll work alongside a talented team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff while helping each person reach their full potential.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team
  • Create an exceptional customer experience
  • Coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable
  • Improve shop systems, processes, and efficiency
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive profitability
  • Foster a positive, professional, and drama-free workplace
  • Champion continuous training and professional development
  • Protect and strengthen the Wimmer’s Automotive culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • A passion for developing people
  • High integrity and personal accountability
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • A commitment to continuous improvement
  • The ability to lead with confidence, humility, and purpose
